Her Story...
A K-12 TUSD alum (THS class of '03), Lacey "Mrs. Mac" McNamara is honored to return to her alma mater to teach drama! She was active in ASB, band, drama, mock trial, 4H, and choir. There was an attempt at JV tennis, to no avail - the arts were her true calling! For the last 20 years, she has been teaching private piano lessons and working with theatre companies in nearly every aspect. She got her start in community theatre, sitting on her dad's trumpet case in the orchestra pit while he played for shows with Pioneer Players in Paso Robles. Lacey took the stage for the first time at age 7 portraying "Gretel von Trapp" in The Sound of Music and the theatre bug bit hard! She has since had the pleasure of playing countless characters on the stage, but favorites include "The Baker's Wife" in Into the Woods, "Marian Paroo" in The Music Man, and "Mrs. Lovett" in Sweeney Todd.
After pursuing a Music Degree at Cal Poly SLO, she transferred to University of LaVerne and holds a BA in Business Administration. Lacey is also a certified Music Together® instructor. She has worked as an actor, volunteer, audition/rehearsal pianist, house manager, stage manager, sound board operator, spotlight operator, or music director/conductor with nearly every theatre on the Central Coast including PCPA – Pacific Conservatory Theatre in Santa Maria and Solvang, The Great American Melodrama in Oceano, SLO Repertory Theatre, and Cambria Center for the Arts Theatre. It is with these local theatre connections that Mrs. Mac hopes to enrich the education of THS Drama Students.

Lacey and her wife, Danielle, own Lyrics and Melodies Studio in Los Osos where she continues to teach piano lessons. In her spare time, she is a PADI certified Divemaster and enjoys scuba diving all over California, volunteering with youth at GALA Pride and Diversity Center in SLO, and being “Aunt Ducky” to her nieces and nephew. Quack, quack!
